Traditional filter coffee is a drink made by mixing hot milk with the infusion obtained by percolation brewing of finely ground coffee powder. Filter coffee highlights a coffee’s individual flavor notes, so roasting for filter coffee should focus on preserving the specific characteristics of the coffee. Medium roasting of beans works best for filter coffee because of its less solubility. Chicory Blend Filter Coffee

The beans are light roasted, medium-coarse ground, and blended with chicory, with the coffee constituting 80-90% and the chicory 10-20% of the mixture. The chicory's slight bitterness contributes to the flavor of Indian filter coffee. Root chicory is used as a coffee substitute. The roots are baked, roasted, ground, and mixed with Indian Filter Coffee. When chicory root is roasted it has the same aroma as coffee however chicory does not have any caffeine. Since it is naturally caffeine-free, it reduces the caffeine intake but imparts a distinct to the final brewed cup.
